Internet Dangers for Pre-Teens and Teens
There has been much information lately on the dangers of social websites. Pre-teens and teens frequently use these sites as a spot to socialize, but there is an impending danger in that students often place discreet information on the sites making them open targets for predators. Please become aware of any sites your students are accessing. Read their blogs. If you would like any information on possible blogging websites, please contact your student's counselor.
If you would like to learn more about the consequences of sexting and how to have this conversation with your child, please visit the link on the right titled "Anti-Sexting Resources- For Students & Parents." Your child's school counselor or administrator is always available to discuss this topic as well.
